POPULAR school dinner lady Sheila Marner was determined to fight the cancer which medics gave her little chance of surviving.
A year ago she was diagnosed with an ear infection but it turned out to be far worse and she succumbed to what was in fact an inoperable brain tumour with her family by her side.
Her son James arrived back at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital from Vietnam just two hours before she passed away. She was 49.
