THE first ever Severn and Wye River Festival arrived with a splash at the weekend.
It is a celebration of river life and good food.
The event took place on the edge of the Forest of Dean at Chaxhill on Saturday and Sunday.
Families enjoyed live performance by 'scrumpy and western' legends The Wurzels.
Local foodies enjoyed the celebrity cooking demos, filleting master classes and barbecue.
The festival was held in aid of the Severn and Wye Smokery's Eels in Schools campaign.
It is a scheme that sees children look after eels and elvers and learn about the art of fishery and the environment.
