A male employee was found naked and asleep in a hot tub at leisure@cheltenham after the centre failed to open on time, it has been claimed.
People who wanted to use the facilities at the leisure centre on Saturday morning were left queuing outside because the centre was still closed.
And once the building was opened a member of staff was found naked in a hot tub, according to a post on the Spotted: Cheltenham Facebook group.
The post described the staff member as an 'absolute LAD'
Stephen Petherick, the leisure centre's general manager, said there has been a lot of "speculation" over the late opening of the centre.
He said: "leisure@cheltenham was late opening on Saturday morning and we apologise if this caused inconvenience to any of our customers.
"An internal investigation is underway.
"A lot of speculation and opinion surrounds the reasons for the late opening of leisure@cheltenham on Saturday morning.
