ST Peter's High School has been lavishly praised for its religious ethos.
The Stroud Road school was recently given an 'outstanding' rating in a Section 48 report.
The report follows an Ofsted inspection and looks at the Catholic nature of the school and RE teaching.
It is organised by the Diocese of Clifton. A spokesman for the school said: "The inspectors were in school for two full days and went into assemblies and RE lessons and looked at books and RE results in relation to national data.
"We are delighted that we were graded outstanding in all areas."
