FORMER Gloucester MP Parmjit Dhanda found a pig's head on his driveway, it has emerged.
Mr Dhanda, who was city Labour MP from 2001 to 2010, reportedly suffered racial and religious abuse at his home.
This week, he gave evidence to an all-party parliamentary inquiry into electoral conduct.
Yesterday BBC Radio Gloucestershire said Mr Dhanda, who had been regularly reminded of his Sikh heritage, was called on the phone during the night, and woke up one day to find a pig's head on his drive.
The inquiry is investigating how elections are managed and who takes responsibility in dealing with charges of misconduct with a focus on racism and discrimination.
Mr Dhanda did not return The Citizen's calls.
