SHOPPERS who might have seen an assault in a Cheltenham supermarket have been asked to step forward.
Police said an argument broke out between a couple and a man in Sainsbury's Bath Road store along one of the aisles. The lone man is alleged to have kicked the other one in the leg.
A police spokesman said: "The 26-year-old victim, from Cheltenham, was left with reddening to the inside of his upper thigh.
"The officer investigating the case wants to hear from shoppers in the store at the time who may have seen this altercation."
The incident took place at about 4.50pm on Sunday.
