The former Winchcombe Hospital has been put up for sale.
The Victorian building, in Cheltenham Road, Winchcombe, has been put on the market for £1.2 million.
The site, owned by NHS Gloucestershire, had been used to store NHS equipment since it closed four years ago.
Town council chairman Ron Harrison called for the building to be brought back into use to benefit the community. It has also been suggested that it could be turned into a hotel.
He said: "There is concern that we have this rather fine building that's not being used.
"We want to bring it back to life – not necessarily as a hospital, that's unrealistic, but the building is crying out to be used. It's an asset that could bring life back into that part of the town."
