PEOPLE will go to great lengths for the things they love.
But talented singer Izzy Kemp has been taking a 100-mile round trip from Cheltenham to Warwick every week to follow her hobby.
The 12-year-old Cheltenham College pupil is an avid member of the school's choir.
But after a one-off invite to sing for a senior choral society in her hometown, she impressed the group so much that she was asked to become a regular addition to the group.
Now every Tuesday she makes the trip to Warwick to sing with St James' Junior Choir.
Izzy's father Ian Kemp said it was a wonderful evening and he was proud to see his daughter impress at the choir's latest concert.
He said: "She started singing at her school choir and just discovered that she had a real enthusiasm and passion for choral singing.
"Since starting with the junior choir at St James', she has just gone from strength to strength."
On top of her studies, Izzy is also a keen runner at the college and enjoys taking part in national cross-country events.
An enthusiastic student in her classes, her tutors said they believed she should set her sights high as a singer.
National choir leader Ted Lougher, who is also director of Cheltenham College upper school, thought her voice had the potential to take her far.
He said: "When Izzy arrived at the school, we realised then that she had a lovely voice.
"Somehow she manages a 100-mile round trip every Tuesday to attend choir lessons in Warwick while keeping on top of her studies.
"She has got a very nice voice and, although it is hard to tell how she will develop, she should have one eye on singing at a national level when she is older. For a 12-year-old, she has great potential and I think she has shown enough vocal quality at her age that she can sing at a senior level.
"She is very bright in school and works very hard.
"Like I say, she juggles everything very well and could go on to do very well."
