Gloucestershire Care Providers Association (GCPA) have very kindly donated a laptop to the Gloucestershire Deaf Association (GDA) Laptop Appeal.
The appeal, launched in January 2013 aimed to raise £1,500 to kickstart a project to buy three laptops which will be used nto educate deaf and hard of hearing people with key IT skills they will need for employment opportunities.
Jo Goode, Chair of GCPA, saw GDA's appeal in the local paper. After speaking with the GCPA Board, it was agreed that GCPA would donate a laptop that was no longer being used, to the appeal.
Jo said "The GCPA Board and Members are delighted to be able to donate this laptop to such a worthy cause, we know it will be put to good use".
Gemma Sills, GDA's Event and Membership Fundraiser said "We are extremely grateful to GCPA for supporting our appeal in this way. The laptop will enable GDA to start providing valuable IT support to deaf people in Gloucestershire".
