BRAVE Tamara Lenczuk, 13, was left with a bloodied face and memory loss after teenage bullies kicked a football at her.
She confronted three older boys after they were tormenting her eight-year-old pal Chemmie who she had gone to Alma Park to play with, along with Chemmie's older sister Jess, 15.
But moments later they struck Tamara's face with a football, knocking her to the ground.
"It is all a bit of a blur," said Tamara. "I remember going to play with my friends and something hitting me really quickly but I don't remember falling.
"The next thing I knew I was nearly home and had blood all over me. It really hurt but I'm getting better."
Her distraught mum Charmaine Hughes said Tamara came into their Dorney Road home on Sunday around 2pm with injuries to her face, hands and knees.
The mother-of-four said: "She asked them to stop bullying her friend. Chemmie got on her scooter and Tamara got on her bike and the next minute they kicked a ball in her face which sent her flying.
"I was horrified when she walked in. You don't expect your daughter to come home like that."
Tamara received stitches to her face at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital's accident and emergency department.
She is now recuperating at home with a bruised face but has not been able to attend Beaufort Community School, in Tuffley, for three days.
Her mum Charmaine is now desperate to find out who the boys were.
She said: "Tamara is resting at home but thankfully my mum used to be a nurse so she knows how to deal with treating wounds.
"I really want to find whoever did this. There must have been someone who saw something."
The friends believe the teenagers were all aged 16 to 18, two were white and one mixed race.
Gloucestershire Police said they cannot say for certain whether the kicking of the ball was accidental or deliberate but they had a report of three teenage boys earlier intimidating the girls.
