PUPILS at a Cheltenham school have been learning about robotics as part of a scheme to increase youngsters' interest in technology.
Gloucester Road Primary hosted the project yesterday and gave their children a chance to learn how to make and programme robots.
The project is run by Gloucestershire First Gloucestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and plans to get 2,013 children involved in the scheme during 2013.
David Owen, chief executive of GFirst LEP, said: "We are delighted that the Government has seen the great impact our LEP is having.
"Economic growth must come from our localities, rather than Whitehall and this money will allow us to adapt a more focused approach for Gloucestershire and ensure that our businesses are instrumental in its economic growth.
