ROPE rescue teams from Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue were scrambled to help a stricken climber who fell from a cliff at Symonds Yat today.
Firefighters from the Coleford and Lydney fire stations were mobilised alongside the West Midlands Ambulance Service at around 2pm.
Initial concerns were that the man had suffered a leg injury in the 15 foot fall.
Working with 16-man rescue crews, paramedics helped stabilise the climber so he could be rescued.
He was taken to hospital in South Wales.
