FIREFIGHTERS were called to a chimney fire in Epney last night.
A crew of five from the Gloucester South fire station was mobilised at 10.33pm with Watch Commander Chris Brian in charge.
They extinguished the blaze and used chimney rods to clear the chimney.
They were at the scene for more than an hour.
Due to increased popularity of solid fuel heating, Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service says it attends a significant number of chimney fires every year.
