Wokingham & Embrook 2 Cheltenham Saracens 1 Taking a long midweek trip into the heart of Berkshire, Cheltenham Saracens were disappointed to come away with no points after leading 1-0. On a hard bumpy pitch and several players missing through injury and work commitments the young Saracens team were in control during the first half but could not penetrate the home defence. Stand-in centre half Stuart Davies pulled a ham string after only 10 minutes which caused a team reshuffle forcing Lorcan Sheehan back to defence and Jordan Bryan into midfield. On 65 minutes a free-kick was awarded to the Saracens from a Wokingham corner and on the break Harlie Price broke away and scored an individual effort. Two dubious free kicks given to Wokingham in the 70th and 78th minutes both resulted in the home team scoring their goals leaving the Saracens disappointed on the long trip home. The next match is on Saturday away to Thame when Elliott Kennedy and Mike Oliver are both back available. This is followed by away at Holyport Berkshire on Tuesday and at home to Shivenham on Thursday.
