ESSENTIAL work to repair Henrietta Street in Cheltenham will take place later this month.
The road will be closed for four days while the work is undertaken.
The works are scheduled to start on Wednesday April 17 and should be completed by Saturday April 20.
While the road is closed there will be diversion in place.
It will take motorists through the High Street and St Margaret's Road.
Gloucestershire Highways, the organisation carrying out the fix, said the road closure is necessary because of the nature of the machinery which will be used.
Closing the road will help keep members of the public and the workers themselves safe.
Chris Riley, local highways manager, said: "We will be maintaining pedestrian access to homes and businesses and will be aiming to minimise disruption as much as possible."
