Author Jilly Cooper will be busy working this weekend on her latest novel.
Jilly, whose home is in Bisley, is writing about the world of flat racing, no doubt with a steamy side order of the private lives of the jockeys.
But she said she'd be glued to the TV too, to watch horse racing's Dubai world cup with prize money on offer of a glittering £10 million.
"Can you belive it? £10 million?" she said.
"This country is so depressed at the moment we just ought to jolly well cheer up," said Jilly, who urged people to count their blessings at Easter time.
"Easter is such a marvellous time," Jilly said.
"I am tossing up whether to go to church now or on Sunday morning," she said this afternoon.
Jilly Cooper has authored books including Riders, Polo, The Man Who Made Husband's Jealous and Wicked - which she wrote after researching schools at Barnwood Park Arts College.
