BOSSES at one of Cheltenham's most popular venues have spoken about the importance of bringing music acts to the town.
Welsh rock band Stereophonics played at The Centaur in Cheltenham Raccourse on March 21 to a sold out crowd and Take That star Howard Donald played a DJ set in January to a packed out Subtone.
Gary Nejrup, entertainment & business manager at Cheltenham Borough Council said: "Cheltenham Town Hall and Pittville Pump Room are proud to host a diverse and varied programme of music from around the world including first class orchestras and classical recitals to pop artists, tribute bands and roots music.
"There is a real buzz around the building when a big musical act or band play at the venue, it is great to see so many people coming together to celebrate music in this way.
"Events at the Town Hall & Pittville Pump Room can help enrich and improve the quality of our personal lives and our communities, stimulate economic activity for local business and boost tourism."
