False alarms prompted an airborne police response on Saturday.
Heat apparently being generated from a home in Lydney prompted suspicions that cannabis was being cultivated there, so the Western Counties Air Operations Unit flew over at 11.35pm.
A Gloucestershire Constabulary spokesman confirmed that on further inspection there was not abnormal amounts of heat coming from the building.
Around half an hour before, the aircraft was called to check out a suspected burglary in School Lane, Whitminster but officers spoke to a man seen nearby and ascertained he was waiting for a friend.
