TOMORROW will be the last day for residents in Winchcombe to write in with their concerns about medical services in the town.

NHS Gloucestershire is making changes to medical provision in the town, which includes ceasing medical services such as general medicine at its site in Winchcombe Medical Centre, but keeping their physiotherapy sessions.

Residents are being invited to a public consultation on the issue at Abbeyfields Community Centre tonight, from 5-7pm.

Becky Parish, deputy director of public and patient engagement for NHS Gloucestershire, said: "We are looking at proposals to develop physiotherapy services in Winchcombe to provide a better service for local people, and are exploring options for new accommodation in the town.

"NHS Gloucestershire is working hard to strike the right balance between providing services close to where people live, whilst ensuring those services are viable and make the most of the NHS resources available."
