Fly tipping crisis in Forest of Dean

Fly tipping is becoming an increasing problem in the Forest of Dean district.
The incidents of fly tipping soared by 22 per cent and many of the Forest's 25 nature reserves were targeted.
Old TVs and boilers are among some of the items being dumped every week.
But a more sinister side is also being seen.
Kevin Caster, Forest of Dean nature reserves manager for the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, said: "We have also seen drug taking and then every other morning we are clearing up wrappers.
"Nature reserves were traditionally fenced off to secure them but without public support these secret places would no longer survive and they are being opened up so more and more people can see the reserves but with that there is a proportion of visitors who do not conduct themselves in a way that is fitting with the wildlife."
In contrast there was a fall in fly tipping in the Stroud and Cotswolds districts.
