DRIVERS going through Prestbury were left having to take a long diversion after roadworks began on one of the area's busiest roundabouts.
Carriageway resurfacing works took place at the double mini roundabouts leading to and coming from Tatchley Lane, Prestbury Road, Deep Street, Blacksmith Lane, and Bouncers Lane.
Roads leading up to the roundabout were closed yesterday as crews from Gloucestershire Highways carried out roadworks on the roundabout, with cars being turned away.
The roads will be closed again next Sunday.
