Fan's view of Cheltenham Town's 3-0 victory over Rotherham United with Oli Fell: After two home wins where we'd won by one goal, a performance like that was just what the doctor ordered. Also a brilliant reaction from the disappointing defeat to Burton Albion last weekend. A comfortable win which we made look easy. Yates' tactics executed to perfection. Go out and soak the pressure for 30 minutes then attack. Two goals in ten minutes essentially killed off Rotherham before half time. McGlashan is more widely renowned for his trickery and pace and not so much for his shot power, but what a stunning volley that was today. I never knew he had it in him! That's the first time in 2013 I've seen the players play with that much confidence. We completely controlled the game from 30 minutes onwards. The defence were excellent and barely gave the Rotherham forwards a sniff. We shouldn't rely on other teams to slip up to get promoted, but most of the results went Cheltenham's way today. We are now nine points ahead of eighth place which makes me feel that Cheltenham are safely tucked in the top seven. Beating teams around us is so crucial and we play four of the top seven in our last seven games. Beating Rotherham today is, not only a position boost, but a psychological boost too. If we can play like that for the rest of the season then I have no doubts that we can finish in the top three. Port Vale are slipping up (although grabbed a good win today) but Burton are looking ominous. Team selection was spot on for me today. McGlashan and Mo brilliant and shows five centre midfielders at home is unnecessary. Sido earned his place back and deserves it. Barnet away next, if we win that it could give us vital momentum going into Port Vale away. Oh, also always nice to get one over Steve 'He Does What He Wants' Evans, too! Come on you Robins! OUT OF TEN Brown 7 Commanded his area well and made some good stops. Jombati 7 Back into the team and looked like he had never left, defended so well. Hector 7 Coped with the strikers threat all game and looked comfortable on the ball. Elliott 8 Threw his weight around and won nearly every header, took his goal very nicely. Jones 7 Put some brilliant tackles in, in what was a quiet game for the ex- Exeter lad. McGlashan 8* Brilliant performance. Looked so potent on the attack but also defended well. What a volley! Pack 7 Keep things ticking over as per usual and added his 7th goal of the campaign with a neat finish. Penn 7 Physically brilliant but passing was poor at times. Ruthless performance. Mohamed 8 2 assists and crossed for the 3rd goal. Best performance of this season from him. Deering 7 Such an awkward player to defend against, great piercing runs with tricky feet. Benson 7 Deserved a goal. Held the ball up well and caused Davis chaos. Subs: Harrison 6 Will be a big player for the club, came on and caused the defence problems. Carter & Duffy N/A
