POLICE officers are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Cirencester last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene after reports that a dark BMW 316 Compact had collided with a pedestrian at the junction of Watermoor Road and Querns Lane around 11.15pm yesterday.
The 20-year-old pedestrian, from Gloucestershire, was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon with cuts, bruises, and a head injury.
Police has said the injuries are not believed to be serious.
Investigations were carried out at the scene, leaving the road closed for more than three hours.
A 37-year-old local man was arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision and has been bailed to attend Cheltenham police station on May 1, pending further inquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or the pedestrian in the area before the collision and has not spoken to police is urged to call 101, quoting incident 514 of March 15.
