PEOPLE looking to help conserve one of the Cotswold's landmark commons are being invited to volunteer with a group.
The Cleeve Common Board of Conservators is looking for volunteers in various roles to help with the daily maintenance of the common on Cleeve Hill.
Volunteers with experience in plant identification and an enthusiasm for botany and conservation are asked to apply as grassland monitoring volunteers, while the board is also looking to volunteer rangers to help the current common ranger.
Entrance greeters are also needed to help during event days, to help coordinate parking and provide people with a welcome letter.
Chantal Brown, agricultural advisor, said: "All volunteers must be confident working alone and happy to engage with members of the public.
"Volunteers should share the Board of Conservators ethos to promote conservation on the Common and to welcome sensitive recreation at this valuable resource."
Anyone keen on helping should contact the board at 01242 251 544.
