The University of Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire Police are joining forces to give primary school children a chance to showcase their footballing skills.
Both organisations have been working together to hold a tournament taking place at the University's Oxstalls campus on Wednesday, March 20 from 3.30pm.
Around 60 children from schools around the county will be taking part and parents and grandchildren will be there to cheer them on at the event which has been running for several years.
Volunteers from the University will be on hand to referee and manage the day which has been organised by a small group of undergraduate students as part of their Sports Development degree.
PCSO Mike Whitehouse has played a vital role in running the event while Tesco will be providing refreshments and representatives from Cheltenham Town FC will be handing out trophies and medals.
"The tournament is open to schools in the local area and this year Longlevens Junior School, Moat Primary School, Barnwood Primary School, Coney Hill Community Primary School, Upton St Leonard's Church of England Primary School and Abbeymead Primary School will be taking part.
"We are grateful for the support we have received and looking forward to another successful event which helps to build positive relationships between young people, Gloucestershire Constabulary, and the University of Gloucestershire."
The event has been running for several years and Steve Piper, from the University's Student Services, said: "This event organised in partnership between the University of Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire Constabulary provides local schools with the chance to meet up and enjoy sport and physical activity and have a lot of fun.
"It provides sports students at the University the opportunity to gain valuable experience, relevant to their degree and essential to their future employability.
"The Tournament is a fantastic example of what our students can achieve working with the University, partners such as the Gloucestershire Police and our wider community."
