Police have released two e-fit images in connection with an attempted serious sexual assault in Robert Burns Avenue in Benhall on Monday February 18.
The images were drawn up with the help of members of the public who saw a hooded man in the area before and after the incident, which happened at 6.40pm.
The attacker, wearing a balaclava, hit a woman and attempted to drag her into the bushes before being disturbed by members of the public. He then ran away into the park.
A resident reported seeing the man shown in the first e-fit image by a bridge close to the scene of the attack at around 5.30pm.
A jogger who was running along Bibury Road towards Swanswell Drive saw the man in the second image at around 6.45pm. It is believed the man was coming from the Draycot Road area.
He is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall, of average build, in his mid 20s to mid 30s and with an angular face. He was wearing a grey or blue hoodie with the hood up over his head. He was walking with his hands in his pockets.
Detective Chief Inspector Alastair Stenner said: "If you recognise the man in either image you need to call us straight away. They could be the same person but we are keeping an open mind at present.
"Equally importantly, one of the witnesses saw that there were two other runners heading towards her from the direction of Swanswell Drive.
"We would like to identify these runners to establish if they saw this man, or anyone else who could be of interest.
"I know there is a danger that because an arrest has been made people think they don't need to report something. That couldn't be further from the truth – we need people to call us with anything they think is relevant because this is a live, ongoing inquiry. "This is a wide scale investigation with teams of officers continuing to make house to house calls in the area and capturing CCTV from many locations. You can help us a lot by coming forward if you have information or any private CCTV from the vicinity that covers last Monday afternoon or evening.
"In the meantime, our community officers will continue to make reassurance visits in the area and our advice, as ever, is to be aware of your personal safety and call us if you have any concerns."

A 42-year-old man from Cheltenham arrested on suspicion of attempted rape in connection with the incident has been bailed to attend Gloucester police station on March 11.
