Investigations are continuing into an attempted armed robbery in Cheltenham.
A man carrying a metal bar demanded money from a member of staff at Up Hatherley post office on Saturday morning.
He smashed the glass screen in the shop before fleeing empty-handed.
The Hatherley Road post office remains closed today (Tuesday) as the damaged is being repaired.
Customers are advised to use the Warden Hill Post Office in Salisbury Avenue instead.
A mother and her child were in the Post Office at the time of the attempted robbery.
Owner Mahesh Patel said his staff were shaken by the incident, but escaped unhurt.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police confirmed no arrests had been made on Tuesday afternoon, but added investigations were continuing.
