Crime figures are down in the Quedgeley area.
Anti-social youths who plagued community centre users for weeks are a thing of the past.
And crime figures have dropped in the area, according to police.
Beat officer PC Lucy Winterburn said: "Crime is currently down on this time last year.
"We had a small spate of incidents in the Quedgeley area over a 48 hour period recently but there was an operation to tackle it and some arrests were made.
"This has helped to boost confidence in the police."
The incidents included vehicle break-ins and attacks on garages.
Quedgeley Community Centre, on School Lane, had also been the focus for anti-social behaviour in recent weeks.
Yobs were hurling abuse at people who entered the centre and they even went inside switching lights off and causing damage.
Quedgeley Parish Council even had to enlist the help of a security guard to ward off the tear-away youngsters.
But the clampdown has helped.
Councillor Graham Smith, vice chairman of the parish council, said: "For the last four weeks I have been down at the site to keep an eye on it and the situation has really improved."
