Poppy, the cocker spaniel missing in the Forest of Dean since last Thursday, has been found.
The 12-year-old mutt escaped from a garden in Cinderford and led those looking for her on a merry dance.
Her owner Wendy Potter, who lives in Wigan and left Poppy with Forest dog behaviour specialist Jane Tovey while she was on holiday, said she was "delighted" to have her companion back.
She was found by Forestry Commission workers tangled in a barbed wire fence but was unharmed, apart from being a little dehydrated.
Wendy and Poppy are now heading home together, happily reunited, and Wendy thanked everyone who helped in the search.
