STAFF at a historic church are busy preparing for a service this Sunday when it will officially become a minster.
St Mary's will become Cheltenham Minster during a 3pm service which will be led by the Bishop of Gloucester Michael Perham.
A long list of community leaders will be in attendance, including Cheltenham MP Martin Horwood, Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire Dame Janet Trotter and the mayor of the borough Colin Hay.
Church rector Dr Tudor Griffiths says the service is open to everyone across Cheltenham, and expects the church to be close to its 400 person capacity.
