MOBILE prop Leigh Green has returned to Lydney and will increase their front-row options, says skipper Matt Taylor.
Green left Regentsholme last summer to try his hand at Forest of Dean rivals Cinderford in the division above, but he has come back to join Duncan Bell's revolution.
Head coach Bell has steered his side nine points clear of the National Two South relegation zone, and they have been boosted by the return to fitness of fellow prop Paul Price.
He had been out of action since October 2010 after injuring knee ligaments playing for Cinderford at Ealing, and Taylor said both players will add to the side's free-running style.
He said: "Leigh played for us last year and was one of our strongest players, so it's great to have that strength back in the squad.
"They're both very mobile, fit props and are maybe a bit lighter than some props in our league but they're both very athletic and run around the pitch a lot.
"They're strong enough to hold up the scrums and be a solid base for us there.
"They can get around the pitch, have good ball skills and will carry for us, so that adds more options to that.
"That's something we pride ourselves on because we try and play the game quickly and everyone in the pack is a ball carrier, so adding those two will strengthen our game even more."
Price has started the last two games for Lydney, and Taylor said the resurrection of former Stroud prop Andy Jarrett may have motivated him.
Taylor added: "What has probably spurred Paul on a bit is seeing Andy Jarrett playing at Lydney, having played at Stroud for a number of years.
"He may have thought 'if he can do it then I probably can' and Paul is such a wise head and someone you can rely on to do his job.
"There's a bit more competition between the more 'mature' members of the squad now I suppose you could say."
