Cheltenham Town have signed central defender Michael Hector on loan from Premier League Reading for an initial month. The 6ft 4in 20-year-old has just completed a spell with Aldershot Town, having been loaned to Shrewsbury Town earlier in the season. He is expected to spend the rest of the season with Cheltenham. Hector spent time on loan at Barnet last season and has also experience with Irish club Dundalk. He played against Cheltenham twice for Barnet last season. "Michael is big, strong, composed on the ball and mobile," Yates said. "He is a good defender and I've been trying to work out why we've been conceding goals. He is a bit different to what we have." Hector becomes the third player to join the Robins from the Royals this term, following Lawson D'Ath and Jake Taylor, who are now both back with their parent club. Cheltenham boss Mark Yates is expected to bring in two more new faces before tomorrow's 11pm deadline. The Robins play Torquay United at home on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
