FACILITES for residents in Bourton-on-the-Water will be brought under one roof before the end of the year.
Plans for a new community centre in the village have began, since discussions between Gloucestershire County Council, NHS Gloucestershire and the parish council last December.
The community centre, which will be set up at the old Moore Cottage Hospital, will host a library, police hub, youth facilities, parish council office and
community cafe.
There will also be rooms for hire and office space for health businesses.
The parish council will take over the listed part of the building and make rooms available for hire to village interest groups, and health and welfare services. It is also hoped the building will attract an NHS dentist.
The modern part of the hospital building and adjacent land at Salmonsbury House, will be sold for other development.
