Midfielder Jake Taylor has returned to parent club Reading after two months on loan at Cheltenham Town. The Wales Under-21 international made nine starts and two substitute appearances for the Robins, scoring once. His goal came in the 4-0 Boxing Day victory over Wycombe Wanderers - a swerving drive from the edge of the penalty area. Taylor made a positive impact on the left side of midfield in his first month, featuring against Hereford United in the second round of the FA Cup. He struggled to break into the starting XI during his second month however and he will now return to the Premier League Royals. His final appearance was as a substitute in Friday night's 0-0 home draw with Rochdale. Boss Yates said: "I'd like to thank Jake for everything and the effort he has put in since being here. "We have to prioritise because we want to bring in other players including a striker. There should be some further business from us later today."
