BBC Sport reports the 30-year-old, who was named the Gills player of the season last year, has been allowed to leave Priestfield and moved to Harriers after turning down several Football League clubs. UPDATE 4.15PM: Yeovil Town have signed Crystal Palace striker Kwesi Appiah on a month's loan.
The 22-year-old joined Championship Palace in January 2012. UPDATE 3.50PM: Colchester United midfielder John-Joe O'Toole will be with Bristol Rovers until April 2, after extending his loan with the League Two side. UPDATE 3.25PM: Cheltenham winger Jake Taylor has been recalled by parent club Reading after a two-month stay at Whaddon Road.
Manager Mark Yates told the Robins' official website: "I'd like to thank Jake for everything and the effort he has put in since being here." UPDATE 3PM: Port Vale midfielder Kingsley James has joined Hereford on a one-month loan deal.
His last game for Vale was at the beginning of December and the 20-year-old has been allowed to leave to gain some first-team experience. UPDATE 2.50PM: Cheltenham Town have signed midfielder Jason Taylor from League Two promotion rivals Rotherham on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal at Whaddon Road after his contract with the Millers was terminated by mutual consent, BBC Sport reports.
Meanwhile, Reading have recalled Jake Taylor from his loan with the Robins.
The 21-year-old first signed for Cheltenham in November and extended his contract until the end of January. UPDATE 2.30PM: Bristol City have turned down a second offer for winger Albert Adomah from Championship rivals Crystal Palace.
Palace chief Steve Parish tabled a second bid earlier today after seeing an initial offer of £1 million, rising to £1.75m including add-ons, rejected.
He today offered more cash up front, but was again rebuffed. UPDATE 1.50PM: Nottingham Forest manager Alex McLeish wants to bring in more players before the transfer window closes on Thursday.
The boss, who has made three signings so far this month, said: "We also need some fresh blood before the window closes. This performance shows we need a little help, an injection of something."
He added: "There is nothing particularly close at the minute, but I know that performance might precipitate things; it might kick start something.
"We will keep working hard to see who we can bring in, before the window does close." UPDATE 1PM: Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup is not planning to make any signings before the close of the transfer window, Sky Sports reports.
He said: "Some teams have a different situation, but we will only play one game a week until the end of the season." UPDATE 12.05PM: Hull City will enter the final days of the January transfer window with only slim hopes of landing a new striker, Steve Bruce has admitted.
Attempts to sign QPR's DJ Campbell appear to have hit a deadlock since talks were held, and City's recruitment has slowed to a standstill before Thursday's deadline. UPDATE 11.40AM: Gillingham midfielder Jack Payne has signed a loan deal with Peterborough United, BBC Sport reports.
The 21-year-old has penned a deal keeping him at the club until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move.
Meanwhile Cheltenham Town are set to complete the permanent signing of a midfield player this afternoon. Swindon Town striker Paul Benson is also close to agreeing a loan move to the Abbey Business Stadium. Cheltenham Town have brought in Manchester United youngster Luke McCullough on a month-long loan deal.
The deal with the 18-year-old defender was finalised on Friday. Swansea City striker Leroy Lita has signed with Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old penned a loan deal on Friday.
Meanwhile City defender Ashley Richards has moved to Crystal Palace on a loan deal. He will remain at Selhurst Park until the end of the season.
And in other transfer news Danny Graham looks increasingly likely to make a switch to Sunderland.
Sunderland are reportedly keen to finalise a £5.5 million deal for the boyhood Newcastle fan. Graham is expected to sign a three-and-a-half-year deal, BBC Sport reports.
The Swansea City squad has urged Danny Graham to stay at the Liberty, but players insist they will respect whatever decision the striker makes.
Another Swansea City deal to watch concerns Kenwyne Jones. The Trinidad & Tobago international may be set to join from Stoke City .
The 28-year-old, who was plucked from obscurity by Southampton in July 2004 is understood to be City's top transfer window target.
Meanwhile Blackpool's Tom Ince could be set to make a move to City. The club would have to fight off Liverpool and Reading to secure the player's signature, however. Nottingham Forest defender Brendan Moloney has penned a two-and-a-half year deal with Bristol City.
The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international on Friday joined City on a free transfer.
Meanwhile Forest striker Matt Derbyshire has joined Blackpool on loan for the rest of the season.
The 26-year-old, who joined Blackpool on Friday, had been keen to secure a permanent move away from the City Ground. Bristol City youngster Conor Evans has signed his first professional contract at the club, Sky Sports reports.
The 16-year-old is understood to have yesterday penned professional terms with the club.
According to BBC Sport Stoke City need, in a nutshell, a new pair of full-backs and to keep their goalkeeper. Hull City midfielder Paul McKenna has joined League Two side Fleetwood Town on loan for the remainder of the season.
McKenna, 35, was on Friday given the green light to join the club, arguably signalling the end of his time at the KC Stadium. Plymouth Argyle on Friday signed Yeovil Town forward Reuben Reid, 24, on loan until the end of February. Colchester United have signed Crystal Palace midfielder David Wright on a free transfer. The length of the deal for the 32-year-old has yet to be confirmed.
