At 04:07 hours this morning fire control took a call reporting a building on fire in St Ann Way, Gloucester.
Initially one fire appliance from Gloucester north and one from Gloucester south were sent to the scene. Shortly after arriving the crews requested further assistance of an aerial appliance to attend from Cheltenham East station along.
A further request was received for a further fire appliance for extra staff and the high volume pump from Cirencester to assist.
Details from the crews at 05:24 hours are that one derelict building twenty four metres by thirteen metres is well alight, 2 jets of water and aerial appliance in use as water tower.
Update at 08:17 hours received confirming the fire is under control and that it is a derelict building damaged by fire, two jets of water, two breathing aparatus, two ground monitors, an aerial appliance and high volume pump are in use and the appliances will be detained sometime
