A SMASH and grab thief seen breaking into a car to steal an iPhone in a car park near GL1 is wanted by police.
The man is understood to have used a small object to smash the front passenger window of the Skoda parked in Prince Street.
He then made off towards Asda with a black Apple iPhone 4S in a clear diamond shaped case.
The raid took place sometime between 3.15pm and 3.45pm on Monday, January 21.
Described as 5ft 8ins tall, he is of slim build and was wearing a dark hooded top, dark trousers and white shoes - witnesses should contact police on 101, quoting incident 270 of January 21.
