A WOMAN punched several times in the face in Widden Street says her attack was unprovoked.
The 18-year-old was approached by a man on Tuesday morning who mumbled something to her before launching a violent assault between 10.50-11am.
She did not know the man, and was left shaken with a slight reddening to her lower lip.
He is described as white, around 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build, with short, shaved hair.
He was holding a clear plastic bag and wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans at the time of the attack.
Witnesses are urged to call 101, quoting incident 134 of January 22.
