CHEAPER car parking charges are being introduced to encourage drivers to stop clogging up residential streets.
Cotswold District Council is making a raft of changes to tariffs in its car parks, following complaints from residents that they could not find a space outside their own home. Among the changes from the council are the introduction of a 50p charge for 30 minutes at all car parks.
A new £288 annual season ticket, which allows motorists to park for five hours a day in long-stay car parks across the district, has also been agreed.
