New Forest Green Rovers loan signing Yemi Odubade is training with Dave Hockaday's squad today after the Gateshead forward agreed a deal until the end of the season.
Odubade, 28, was described as "a big game player" by Hockaday who said his experience will be a vital added ingredient in the second half of the season.
Hockaday, whose Rovers side sit fourth in Blue Square Bet Premier, said: "Yemi has blistering pace, he's powerful and he scores but also creates goals.
"Plus he's a big game player, if you go through his record since he's been at Gateshead, he has a knack of either scoring or setting up goals against the top teams in the league. But most importantly his experience will be invaluable as we come into the business end of the season."
Nigerian-born Odubade can play as striker and winger and has scored four times this season for Gateshead, who are 18th in Blue Square Bet Premier.
He signed for the Tyneside club in 2011 from Stevenage.
He grew up in East Sussex and moved from Eastbourne Town to Yeovil and had two seasons at Eastbourne Borough.
He scored 31 goals for Oxford United during three seasons and went on to be the top scorer at Stevenage when the club won promotion to the Football League in 2010.
Odubade will come into contention for Saturday's Blue Square Bet Premier game away to Stockport.
Hockaday added: "We are a very young team and Yemi has played in a promotion winning team...and was their top scorer to boot.
"He is also a very good character and has been a very popular player in the dressing room wherever he has been. I believe he will be a good influence on the younger players and help focus their efforts with his experience both on and off the field of play."
Odubade will be available to play in 18 fixtures, plus potentially play-off games, before his deal expires at the end of the season.
