A youth worker is to be given the job of tackling issues among young people in Quedgeley and Kingsway.
Anti-social behaviour has plagued users of Quedgeley Community Centre and teenagers have been found roaming around the Kingsway estate – even on cold winter nights.
But now a youth worker will be focusing on turning the situation around by speaking to youngsters.
Andy Jarrett, from Quedgeley Community Trust, helped to set up an action group to look at how provision for young people could be improved in the area.
He said: "It looks likely that Quedgeley, including Kingsway, will soon have a new detached youth worker.
"Their role will be to ask young people on our streets what they want to do and try to deliver it."
