THE family of a "cheeky" teenager who always gave his best have spoken of their grief of losing him to a motorbike crash when he was just 16.
Scott Lewis was enjoying a month-long holiday in Goa, India, with his dad John when he died in the crash.
Now his family and girlfriend have spoken about the loss of the "perfect" young man, who always had time for others.
Mum Tina, 45, from Swindon Village, said: "Scott was such a kind and thoughtful lad, and he worked so hard.
"He had a passion for horses and had his own pony Jack, who he learned how to ride on and look after.
"I've had horses for seven years and Scott worked alongside me through all that time.
"Scott and I also spent many hours playing on our Xbox. He said not many mums would do that."
Scott was one of five children and yesterday his sister Annie, 22, said he had idolised his father.
"He was caring, loving and the best brother you could ask for," she added.
"He had a heart of gold, and was a great boy. We will miss him. He is our guardian angel now."
Scott went to Greatfield Park Primary School, then Pittville School, which he left last summer with 11 GCSEs.
He was also given a certificate as the cheekiest pupil in school. Sister Lizzy, 21, said: "He was a very active person, and also quite cheeky. He was a wonderful brother, and we do miss him.
"We are hurting real bad, and just grieving at the moment.
"He was perfect."
He had hoped to work on a farm or as a mechanic. He had learned to drive a tractor at Swindon Farm.
His girlfriend Amy Gore, 18, paid tribute to the "amazing" boy she met in 2010 in Hester's Way park.
They had been together for more than two years.
"I miss him, and he was just the most amazing and best boyfriend," she said.
"He was always there for me. He used to help people with everything.
"He would help the lady over the road to walk her dog because they are disabled, and he never wanted anything back from it. He always gave his best."
Scott died on January 3. He is survived by his parents, sisters Annie, Lizzy and Megan, brother John, and goddaughter Macey Vedmore.
