JUST 12 people have used a drink driving text line since it launched on December 4.
Police have urged more people to use the initiative to help catch motorists breaking the law.
Anyone can message them on 07860 009095 if they suspect someone is driving while over the limit.
Roads policing Inspector Jason Keates said: "While there were no arrests made as a result of the text hotline this Christmas it is an important new tool in our battle to combat drink driving and the extra information we are receiving from the public is very welcome.
"I am sure that as the concept becomes more familiar to people the number of texts we receive will improve, as well as the level and quality of information members of the public send us.
"Tell us where the car is, its number plate and, if possible, it's direction of travel."
He said drink driving could still be reported by calling police on 101 or 01452 728199.
you should call 999 if Offenders are nearby, life is at risk, injury is caused or threatened, crime or disorder is in progress, or another emergency situation arises.
