NIGEL Davies' Christmas present to his Gloucester squad was two days off to spend with family and friends. Now Ben Morgan believes the Cherry and Whites players must repay the festive favour. After enjoying Christmas Day and Boxing Day at home, Morgan said the Kingsholm men are primed for tomorrow's trip to Welford Road to take on Leicester Tigers (kick-off 5pm). After a tough day's training on Christmas Eve and then two days' rest, number eight Morgan said the Cherry and Whites are ready to take on the Tigers. Keen to feed off the intimidating crowd at the East Midlands stronghold tomorrow, former Dursley loose forward Morgan explained: "It was a hard session on Christmas Eve, a bit of a blowout, but then we had a couple of days of downtime, and I think we needed that. "It's effectively one extra day off than we'd usually have in the week, but that's not going to affect us in the preparation. "It was good of the coaches to give us that time to spend with our families at Christmas, and so we're definitely keen to repay them for that. "It would be great if we could go up there to Leicester and get a result, that would be one way to repay the coaches, that's for sure. "You always have to adapt when you go away from home. "I've never played there before but I'm really looking forward to it. "Hopefully we can feed off the crowd up there." Powerful 23-year-old line-breaker Morgan said Gloucester have been able to draw a lot of confidence from their edgy 18-16 Exeter Chiefs victory last weekend. Keen to help Gloucester stay in the Premiership's top four, Morgan continued: "It was a bruising encounter but we were delighted to get through that. "And what better way to move on with things than a huge test at Welford Road. "Exeter are a really tough team, we had to fight tooth and nail for that result. "And we know we can grind out results, and that's a boost. "As long as we're happy and content with what we're doing then we're going to cause sides a lot of problems. "It's just fine-tuning hopefully in the middle of weeks now the season is back into its swing. "We've been working on a few specifics and we're ready for this game. "It's going to be a big game up there, but hopefully we can get up there and do the business."
