A MOTORIST and passengers had a lucky escape when the car they were in smashed through metal railings, dropped off a ledge and landed upside down in a field.
Police who attended the scene with the fire and ambulance services on Saturday evening said a 25-year-old man from Gloucester has been reported for not having correct motoring documents and for a faulty tyre.
The red Honda Civic left the road on the A4173 Horsepools Hill between Edge and Styles Lane at around 6pm.
One man was reported to have minor injuries and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for a check-up, while other occupants escaped unscathed.
