TEWKESBURY Mummers made sure tradition was kept alive as they welcomed the new year.
The group, with about 9 members, entertained people around the town at four different venues yesterday.
Starting at 12.30pm at the Bell Hotel, they moved on to the Berkeley Arms, playing at the Roses theatre at 1pm before finishing at the Tudor House Hotel.
Performer Steve Goodchild has been with the group for more than 20 years.
He said: "Someone needs to bring the new year in properly. It is all tradition.
"We were surprised to see the number of people who came to support us this year. It was a great day."
