Two teenagers were beaten and robbed in Cheltenham last night by three men, who were believed to have being carrying a hammer.
A 19-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and burglary following the attack on Arle Road just before midnight on Tuesday.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police said the 18 and 19-year-old were approached by three men who threatened and attacked them before stealing £7 in cash, two mobile phones and a bike.
She said it was thought the offenders were carrying a hammer.
Both victims were said to have suffered minor injuries, but declined medical treatment in the attack.
The police helicopter was called to search the area. The bicycle was recovered by police in Moors Avenue.
The arrested man remains in police custody.
