WINCHCOMBE school pupils were hoping to bring some Christmas cheer last week to a day care centre which had its funding cut this year.
About 35 residents of Winchcombe Day Care Centre were at Winchcombe school's hall last Wednesday for a special Christmas dinner, served up by students at the school.
Funding at the day care centre is under threat after new government initiatives meant they lost their core funding of nearly £15,000.The day care centre used to get a £35,000 grant from the Primary Care Trust and Gloucestershire County Council's Social Services department.
