Stroud attack victim suffers head injuries

Police are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding an assault in Stroud.

The incident happened on Bath Road in the town at around 5.10pm on Wednesday December 5.

The victim, a 34 year old man from Stroud was walking along Bath Road when he was assaulted from behind. The victim was taken to the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment for head injuries.

Police are trying to trace two men in connection with the incident. The first man is described as white with a dark complexion, medium build, about 6ft 3ins tall. He has short, dark hair and was wearing a black t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms. The second man is described as white, about 21 years old, about 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build. He was clean shaven and wearing a baseball cap.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call police on 101 quoting incident 380 of December 5.
