Permission to build a farm worker's house has been turned down by a Government inspector.
Julian Cox appealed Stroud District Council's decision to refuse planning permission for an agricultural worker's house at Nupend Farm, Boscombe Lane, Horsley.
The inspector dismissed the appeal because a second home on the site is not essential.
The had council turned it down because it said no case was made for a second dwelling and no reasons advanced for using other dwellings.
